After nearly three years of slinging pizzas through a tiny window at Whiskey Lou s Lounge at 121 N. Bumby Avenue, Black Magic Pizza is getting ready for something new. The popular Milk District pizza operation announced on Instagram this week that its last day at the neighborhood dive bar will be Sunday, October 25. 3 YEARS. ONE LITTLE WINDOW, the team wrote. What started as a small idea has turned into something way bigger than we ever imagined. Founded by Traviss Santos, Black Magic Pizza built a following through local pop-ups before taking over the former Itsa Chicken window at Whiskey Lou s in early 2023, serving its signature New-Neapolitan-style pies. But it doesn t sound like they re going away. THE NEXT CHAPTER WILL BE SO F***ING COOL, the team teased, adding, ITS NOT GOODBYE ITS SEE YA SOON. No final service date or details about what s next have been announced, but it looks like Black Magic has something cooking.
