Orange County moves three polling locations due to HVAC issues — Winter Garden Schools news

Some Orange County voters will head to a different polling place for the Nov. 3 general election after HVAC problems forced a location change.Voters assigned to Precinct 729 will cast their Election Day ballots at Church on the Drive, 1914 Edgewater Drive in Orlando, instead of Central Christian Church, 205 SW Ivanhoe Blvd. The county lists the change as temporary. The Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office told WFTV the move was prompted by HVAC problems at the original location. How many voters are affected? The elections office said 3,092 voters live within Precinct 729. As of Oct. 28, 1,278 had already voted by mail or through early voting. That left 1,814 precinct voters who had not yet cast a ballot as of that date. How will voters know where to go?The elections office said it mailed letters notifying affected voters of the change. It also sent emails, text messages and voice messages to voters who had provided that contact information.Signs will be posted on Election Day direct
