Orlando’s Banana Hero Makes It to Saturday Night Live — Winter Garden Dining news

Orlando s most famous banana has officially hit the big time. The woman who went viral after reporting a car crash at The Moderne in Mills 50 while dressed as a banana made it onto Saturday Night Live s Weekend Update on October 31. Michael Che shared the story of Stephanie Oropeza, who called police after witnessing a car crash into the bar s patio on October 24. And then Che delivered the punchline: “But before the cops could get there, she split.” The footage had already made national headlines, including coverage by ABC News and Fox News, but becoming an SNL punchline might be the ultimate Halloween treat. From Mills 50 to Studio 8H. What an a-peel-ing turn of events. Sorry. We had to. And a big thanks to @asher_jay for giving us the heads-up!
